Academy Rules and Regulation
Code:
All students are required to read through the Forum Rules, Forum FAQs, Roleplay Rules, and Roleplay FAQs upon registration for classes.

1) In order to participate in the classes, you must register with the Student Sign-Up office.
[list][*]To Register, please submit your Name and Intended Enrollment Type (Full or Part-time), then wait until you recieve the confirmation message.
[/list]
[b]Registered Name:[/b] (the name you registered with upon joining the forum
[b]Character Name:[/b] (the character you created and intend to roleplay with)
[b]Enrollment:[/b] (if doing part time,  place what field you would like join)

2) Before beginning any classes, you are required to have read through the following posts:
Forum Rules and Regulations
Stealing Content and Copyright
Role-Play Rules for In-Character Posts
Newbie's Guide to RPG Forums Online

3) The  Academy's ideal is the teaching of role-playing and role-playing aspects to both the New and Experienced. There are two forms of registration:
[list][*]Full-Time: New students are recommended to complete the full course. The courses included in this registration are from Levels A through E.[list][*]New students are defined as having little or no experience in the field of text based roleplaying.[/list][/list]
[list][*]Part-Time: Returning students and experienced members may choose to register only part-time which allows them to choose which class level(s) they wish to attend.[list][*]Experienced players can learn a thing or two from their peers.[/list][/list]

4) All students need to respect their Instructors and fellow classmates. The various Instructors have been picked from among the best role-players on the forum, and each of these individuals are  skilled in their respected field. However, we are always open to new ideas and concepts. Suggestions to curriculum and methods may be submitted by PM to the Academy Director.

5) New students will not be allowed to partake in more than one class level at a time. A new student will only be granted access to the next level once an Instructor is satisfied with their progress. This rule does not apply to Advanced students.

------------------------------------
Please note:

Students are allowed to role-play anywhere else on this board during their registration with the Academy. Knowledge is best stemmed from experience so we will not restrict when are where you may post as long as it falls within the Rules and Regulations of RPG Forums Online.

However, students are required to post at least once per week with-in their respective classes. If you cannot comply please PM the appropriate Instructor.

If at any point students notice an Instructor who has not posted for a week, nor has been replaced by a substitute or a new Instructor, please report the Instructor to the Academy Director.

The most important rule is to enjoy yourself and have fun! That is why we are all here!

DO NOT IGNORE THESE COMMANDMENTS

1. YOU MUST READ: If you find yourself posting to a thread WITHOUT flipping back at LEAST one page, and your post is ignorant of anything important said by ANYONE over the course of that page, should ANYONE complain to me as to your conduct, your post will be REMOVED and you will be WARNED over PM.

2. REREADING BEFORE POSTING IS REQUIRED: If you are about to post, STOP. Reading is REQUIRED at the Academy, especially your OWN posts. Spelling and grammar mistakes happen to EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY you. Read your own posts for spelling, grammar, run-ons, and continuity of thoughts. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT REREADING, even if English is not your first language. Note: If you are too lazy to use a word processor, use Firefox Web Browser. It has a built in spell check.

3. PLEASE USE PAST TENSE: If you are used to using present tense in the descriptive narrative your RP posts, UNLEARN this terrible habit. Present Tense will NO LONGER be permitted. YOU are NOT your character. YOU are a whole 'nother entity, who is narrating the adventures of your character. YOU will use ONLY past tense, unless you are a Game Master or Equivalent. Note: Your character may use present and even future tense in dialog and thought.

------------------------------------------------

If you are new to the Academy, there is NO excuse for more than ONE excusable offense to these rules, as henceforth YOU and everyone else will be directed here upon your FIRST transgression. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

I dislike having to get tyrannical on the Academy, but I've seen too much that I cannot stand with my own eyes, and have received enough complaints to warrant swift action. Please follow at least these three simple rules. DO NOT DISAPPOINT ME.
